Cirque Berzerk Beneath
It would be P.T. Barnum’s worst nightmare. If he wereno dead. Iteen called everything from "a circus on acid" to "French burlesque meets Sweeney Todd." Cirque Berzerk's unique flavor of adult psychedelic vaudevillian tomfoolery returns to the Los Angeles State Historic Park. Performances run Thursday, June 18th through Sunday, July 5th, 2009. Born at Burning Man in 2005 and named one of A.0 Weirdest Events of 2008 the Los Angeles Times, Cirque Berzerk has tickled the collective innards of L.A. and beyond with a psychotically-tinged sultry show filled with sinewy, breathtaking acrobatics, sensual aerialists, gothic stilt walkers, fetishy burlesque dancers, voluptuous contortionists and a host of punk rock clowns, none of whom know how to make cute balloon animals for the kiddies.
