Authorities Monday were asking for the public's help in finding a gunman who killed one man and critically wounded another in the unincorporated area of Bassett, a sheriff's deputy said. The shooting occurred about 6:40 a.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Mardel Avenue, said Deputy Oscar Butao of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
