A 56-year-old veterinary professor from the University of California, Davis who had been missing since the weekend has been found dead. Davis police said the body of Richard Walker Jr. washed ashore Monday at Salmon Creek State Beach in Bodega Bay. Sgt. Scott Smith said in a news release that Walker's death appeared to be a suicide.
