A carjacking suspect was in custody Friday after a deadly crash near downtown L.A. that took place as he was trying to escape officers, police said. Darryl Lynch, 19, of Los Angeles, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Thursday after the crash, which took place at Hope Street and Pico Boulevard, according to the LAPD. Lynch, who was taken to a hospital for a head injury, will be booked for murder when he is released, according to the LAPD.
