State investigators believe a deadly traffic pileup that killed three people last year north of Los Angeles was caused by a speeding trucker who lost control of his tractor-trailer. The preliminary investigation on the Interstate 5 crash was referenced in a district attorney's memo reported Tuesday by the Los Angeles Times.
