The Federal Aviation Administration says quick action by an airline pilot and controllers last week kept a small plane from landing at a Southern California airport with its wheels up. The incident occurred Sept. 4 at Ontario International Airport, where a Southwest Airlines pilot spotted the problem with the approaching plane and advised air traffic controllers.
