Los Angeles County firefighters rescued 13 people Saturday from a second-floor apartment fire in South Los Angeles. No one was injured. Smoke and fire were pouring out of the second-floor window of an apartment at Central Avenue and 68th Street at 8:06 a.m., when firefighters arrived on the scene, according to Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Darryl Jacobs.
