Though no serious contenders have emerged, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has banked about $2.5 million for his re-election campaign -- money he will need if multi-millionaire developer Rick Caruso decides to run against him in the spring. Caruso, developer of The Grove and other large-scale shopping centers, has said he will make a decision about running next week, the Los Angeles Times reported. He has until Nov. 8 to file to run for mayor.
