Though no serious contenders have emerged, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has banked about $2.5 million for his re-election campaign -- money he will need if multi-millionaire developer Rick Caruso decides to run against him in the spring. He has until Nov. 8 to file to run for mayor.
