Passengers on a flight from El Salvador Monday were forced to wait on a Southern California regional airport's tarmac for nine hours when their plane was diverted from Los Angeles International Airport because of heavy fog. LA/Ontario International Airport spokeswoman Maria Tesoro-Fermin said the Taca airlines flight finally landed at LAX after spending nine hours on the tarmac.
