Nutter talks about Brett Favre's "itch" to come back and play again
Look I'm gonna be honest, my emotions on the topic of Brett Favre returning to the NFL are mixed and all over the place right now and I really don't know what to think. Most radio personalities around the country no matter the sport or the the team are HOMERS and I even work with some right here at Hutton Broadcasting. I can tell you these types of sports fans can NEVER admit when there team or favorite player sucks and frankly there the worst type of fan to talk to and I try harder than ever to avoid these people. Do you really think any Packer fan is going to tell you that his favorite player (#4) should stay retired. HELL NO!!!!! But I will because for the sake of the team I'd rather see them rebuild and get better than be distracted, unfocused and 0-16 by January 2009. Like any athlete they have been told there whole lives how great they are and it shows in all of them in one way or another. Folks the word is EGO and even Brett has one. He has nothing to prove, he's got a lot of the records, Super Bowl win, MVP's so what's left to do? Come back because you have a "itch" to play and your family wants you to? Brett I love ya but it's Mr. Rodgers neighborhood now in Green Bay. I will concede that at your "retirement" presser in March you did not say it was all over but do you want to come back and have the return be the likes of Montana, Rice or even Jordan? We all know you can still play but how do you want to be remembered? Let it go Brett, because you're making everyone think you can't.The views and opinions expressed on this page do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of We-Create Inc, ConnectorLocal.com or any of our sponsors and advertisers. Ya know, I can understand him wanting to come back. He must be bored as hell right now. But as you said...let it go, man.
