getting flocked, the latest on DWTS, who to objectify

You know I have many Jennifers in my  life.  This time Dr. Jennifer stopped by.  Dr. Jennifer Prigg that is.  She is an OB/GYN.  And a fine one at that.  Just the other day she texted me that I had been flocked.  I texted back that's great, I don't know what that means.  Jennifer is trying to raise money for Susan G. Komen because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Her goal is $5,000.  Flocking means a flock of flamingoes.  You can have a flamingo put in front of someone's business for a donation.  In turn, they have to make a donation to have it taken to another business or residence.  The birds are pink, just like the pink ribbons.  It's very cute and draws attention to the cause.  Jennifer is also selling items like pink rubber duckies with pink breast cancer ribbons on them and caps and so on at her office.  On the 17th, for $10, she's giving a seminar too.  All this is for a great cause.  You can visit her website at drprigg.com.  Her office is at Premier Medical Plaza.  You need to have someone flocked so call 526-6248.  I think it's a fun idea and raising money for cancer research is something I can really get behind.

I am thrilled to say that my friend and co-worker Philip Gibbons is having a birthday today.  There should be a parade through Algood in his honor.  Philip is awesome.  We call him a legend around here.  I suppose that's a bit of an understatement.  I am just proud to call him my friend.
 
 
 
Misty May-Treanor is out of the competition for sure.  She has ruptured her Achilles tendon and is having surgery today.  She hopes to come back to dance the jive on Dancing with the Stars one day in the future.  It was a rough week.  Susan Lucci danced with a taped ankle. She hurt herself earlier in the day.  And a few days before the show, Derek Hough had to be taken to the hospital with a head injury.  He's OK now.  Misty May-Treanor plans to use her time off to rest and start a family.  I plan to use her time off pining for Maks.  Lee and Jim just spent most of the morning saying that I only objectify him when I really love his mind.  Other men whose minds I love are David Duchovny, Josh Holloway, and George Clooney.  I have been objectifying Jim for years.  Cloris Leachman scored the lowest last night.  The question remains whether or not someone will be eliminated this evening.  Jim thinks they will not because ABC has planned on so many episodes and won't be cutting one. 
 
 
 

Speaking of objectifying, Lee was very happy to learn that the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS Dec. 3.  Heidi Klum will host it and it will feature Alessandra Ambrosia, Selita Ebanks, Doetzen Kroes, Adriana Lima, Marisa Miller, Miranda Kerr in Miami at the legendary Fontainebleau Miami Beach.  Seriously, her real last name is Ambrosia?  That's just too rich.

One of our co-workers did ask me if Lee was truly singing at a wedding this weekend.  As entertainment.  Lee admitted he's never been paid to sing at a wedding.  Though, perhaps, paid to stop singing.

THE BRA THIEF

Deputies want to bust the bra bandit. Authorities in Lee County, Florida, report the crook has struck again. This time, 160 bras were swiped from a Victoria Secret store. The lacy underthings are worth nearly $6,000. Since February, authorities say more than 45 bras have been taken from area Victoria Secrets. Investigators say in the most recent case, a female customer is suspected of stuffing the underwear in a bag while employees were busy.

THE PROBLEM WITH DEAD FOXES

Officials with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency say a man name Tommy Fox was driving home from his job in Dover, Tennessee, about 11 pm when a beautiful red fox dashed in front of his SUV. After he ran over the fox, Mister Fox stopped to get the animal -- thinking he would cut off its tail for a souvenir. He put the fox in the back seat, but things took an odd turn when Fox, the man, heard a noise coming from his back seat and realized the other fox was alive - and not happy. The driver Fox desperately searched for something to hold the animal fox back and prevent him from climbing into the front seat and biting. As he looked in the back seat to get a blanket to block the fox, he took his attention from the road.And that's when he wrecked. Tommy Fox suffered minor injuries and bruises. The other fox was found dead in the SUV.It was not clear whether the animal died of injuries caused by being hit by the SUV or if it died in the wreck.

 

or TAKE YOUR DOG TO CHURCH DAY

Some Massachusetts parishioners can now pray with their pups. Reverend Rachel Bickford is inviting pet owners to bring their four legged friends to her "Woof 'n' Worship" services, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church. Bickford says she got the idea while reading the Bible, with her own dogs at her feet. Bickford says all breeds are welcome, as long as they're on a leash.
